It is absolutely our responsibility to see that we keep fit in body, mind and soul. Good Food for the body, good thoughts enriched with Wisdom and Knowledge for the mind and Prayer or Meditation for the soul. There needs to be a fine–tuning or balance between all three: only then there will there be a fitness in totality.
Just as the body needs rest and relaxation, the mind also needs to shut away from the humdrum of the noisy life outside. The soul needs quiet and calm to unwind from the pressures of each day. But since our soul is the power and core of who we are, we need to…
Feed it first and feed it well. Feel ourselves to be a part of the universe
Matthew 6:11 of the Bible tells us:
…Give us this day our daily Bread..
This petition does not mean that we ask only for bread. In those days, bread was the staple diet of the Jews. Furthermore, bread was a symbol of God’s provision for His people in the Old Testament. Bread also remains as a powerful symbol for the basis of provision for our needs I.e when we refer to the ‘bread-winner’ of the family. We take comfort in knowing that our physical needs are met, that we have food, or “bread,”
When we pray, we should do so with humble dependence, asking Him to provide what we need and to sustain us from day to day. We are encouraged to make our needs known to Him, trusting that He will provide.
He will not fail us. Never Ever!
PRAYER: ( the most powerful one of all times)
Our Father in Heaven, Hallowed be Your Name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.Give us today our daily Bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Yours is the kingdom, the Power and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.
God bless and keep us in His Grace.
