Being thankful isn’t just for the Thanksgiving holiday. We have so many things to be thankful for, that the Time span given to us may not quite suffice to finish thanking. Of all the life-changing attitudes that we may practice, the attitude of gratitude is the most important one that we need to consciously acquire.
The act of being grateful for everything nurtures the soul and unlocks the fullness of life; it acts as a remedy for anxiety and depression and it allows us to connect deeply to the here and now (present moment); it gives us access to an abundance of wealth and prosperity that may be in store for us. The best part is…gratitude is absolutely free.
“Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all the others.” ~ Cicero
1 Thessalonians 5: 18 of the Bible says:
Give thanks in all circumstances: for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
‘In all circumstances’. Not at specific, set-apart times, but at all times – we need to thank God at all times. In whatever state of mind or situation we are in. Whether we are sad or glad, it is good that we thank Him for all that we have come through so far and for the Accompanying Presence which is our Hope, Our Shelter and Our Refuge. When we find ourselves overwhelmed with burdens and When we get worried about tomorrow, we can praise God for who He is and His promise to never leave us or forsake us.
We are truly blessed!
