Sometimes in life, we need someone else to remind us of our strength within and to cajole us to remain steadfast, because we all go through hard times, times where our levels of resilience and fortitude are tried and tested. These tough times can come in many forms: it could be a recovery from an illness, going through a breakup in relationships, losing a loved one, financial hardship, job loss, struggling to overcome a life challenge or obstacle of any sort.
Though it feels impossible to find your ‘inner strength’, if you dig deep enough within yourself, it’s there.
Hard times don’t create heroes. It is during the hard times when the ‘hero’ within us is revealed. –
Tough times are inevitable.
This is a fact many of us do not actively try to face or accept. But if we recognise that we are capable of coming out from these tough times unscathed, and we are ready in our preparedness to face any onslaught, we can grow as an enriched soul and go on to push the boundaries to experience a richer and more fulfilling life.
Have you ever heard the phrase “Pressure Makes Diamonds?” It comes from the fact that coal, which is dark and dirty, when under pressure for a long period of time, turns into diamonds, one of our most valued jewels. The same is true of the human being. When we put our muscles under regular stress, they grow; when our immune system faces challenges, it becomes stronger. And when we face challenges in life, and approach them with the belief that they can make us more psychologically resilient, we truly become empowered.
“Man often becomes what he believes himself to be. If I keep on saying to myself that I cannot do a certain thing, it is possible that I may end by really becoming incapable of doing it. On the contrary, if I have the belief that I can do it, I shall surely acquire the capacity to do it even if I may not have it at the beginning.” – Mahatma Gandhi.
Do you agree with Gandhiji’s statement? Well, I do. I hope you do, too, cos’ that builds real Power in you.
Promise me you’ll always remember: You’re braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. –
Stay Strong, Stay Empowered.
BIBLE VERSE:
David had been going through some difficult times, but determines in his heart to praise God ( Jehovah) all the time, whether in trouble or in prosperity. The words from his mouth just declare what is in his heart. David realizes that without the Lord he could do nothing. David keeps his heart stayed upon God and His goodness. Not content with praising God in his own person, the psalmist calls on Israel generally to praise the Lord with him.
“And let us exalt his name together”. By proclaiming Him to be the Most High – making mention of His glorious perfections and works, may He be exalted. By praising Him in the highest strains, there is more joy and happiness as well, as when more glory is brought to God by the acts of praise and worship. Just the unity and love in sharing with each other the wonderful things that God has done, brings us and others to a closer walk with Him.
May the realisation that we cannot do anything without help from the Lord help us to keep our hearts stayed upon Him and His Goodness. His Tender Mercies and Grace see us through each second, each minute, each hour and through each day. Let our hearts and minds be always thankful in Him, our Refuge and Rock of Ages.
Stay blessed..Peace on you all.
