Our daily lives have become a Run Run Rat Race. We cannot seem to keep pace with the competition surging forth. The world is spinning too fast for our liking. We need to rush too, otherwise we will be lost in the crowd.
So where do we have have the time to stand still for a moment and say a word of ‘Thank You’ for all the blessings that we enjoy?
We tend to remember the hurt-hate feelings in our hearts and hold onto ill-will and grouse against all we meet. All the pent-up emotions take a toll on the happiness that could be ours so easily.
The moment we start being thankful for even the small things of Life, bitterness starts melting away and we recover with Healing and Forgiveness from within.
“Thankfulness is the beginning of gratitude. Gratitude is the completion of thankfulness. Thankfulness may consist merely of words. Gratitude is shown in acts.” – Henri Frederic Amiel
So rise up and be thankful, for if we didn’t learn a lot today, at least we learned a little. And if we didn’t learn a little, at least we didn’t get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn’t die; so, let’s all be thankful for the small and large wonders that forms up Life.
Stay calm, serene and one with Peace.
Colossians 3:15 of the Bible tells us:
Let the Peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body, you were called to Peace. And be thankful.
When thankfulness envelops our hearts, being at Peace with God and man becomes an important priority. Therein everything is set right, when we are willing to make amends and ask for forgiveness to God and also forgive those that have caused us hurt.
Bitterness melts away from within us and we become at peace with ourselves.
When we start being thankful for the big and small things in our lives, we are filled with so much of happiness that everything seems brighter, better and bearable.
When we start to thank God for all His Goodness that we enjoy, everything seems to fall into place – at the work front, at home, out in the world and even in relationships. All that remained as a problem and in a mess seems to clear up on its own.
There is an air of Peace and Goodwill all around.
The Peace that passes all understanding fills us.
PRAYER:
To all the dear ones, who are caught up in the humdrum of Life and find no peace in their lives, just a little prayer here to remind you to be thankful for all those blessings that fill up your daily life.
May you be filled with God’s Love so much, that you cannot but be thankful.
God’s Peace be with you wherever you are and in whatever you do.
Dear Lord, We thank you for reminding us to be grateful for everything we have. Teach us to also forgive and forget all the hurt we have gone through and not to hold it against anyone in our hearts. May we be at Peace, having settled all wrongs before You and man. Fill us with Your love and Grace. In Your name. Amen.
God fill us with His Peace and Love.
